My Super Summer kids as well as my entire youth group is getting ready for the 40 day revolution. We had a prayer walk in August before school started to begin then praying for God to open up venues to take control of our campus. Last Friday we had a Senior that decided to take her life by overdosing on canned air. As devestated and shocked as we were my kids and I saw God's crazy amazing plan begin unfolding. We believe that our revolution started last Friday. In the first part of the group study it talks about earning the right to be able to share Christ with people. They have to know you care-my kids are so stoked about this as an inlet to many hurting kids that are normally far off their radar. Yesterday we had a major pornography issue that came up and several students may be charged as adults. Our Father is stirring the campus us and is moving in such a mighty way we are so overjoyed. I wanted to share this with you because we are a small 2A school in East Texas that has only about 500 kids on our entire JH-HS campus but this small town is about to be completely shaken at the power of our Jesus. Our technical 40 days haven't started as you well know, but the gates are about to break at the hinges as God is unleashed on our campus and in our community.
I say all of this to say thank you for helping push this at SS. As a lifer my self, I have seen lots of great material but I know that it has revolutionized my life already just getting my kids ready for it. Thanks for your hard work of preparation and your hours of prayer that are helping shape and mold the youth of our churches today.
